The MDX Welcome Fund
The MDX Welcome Fund is an initiative by ²ÝÁñÉçÇø (MDX) to support undergraduate students who are applying to the university through the Clearing process. This fund is designed to help these late-cycle applicants settle into university life more smoothly.
What is the MDX Welcome Fund?
Off-Peak Gym Membership
Students receive a year's off-peak membership to the Fitness Pod, the on-campus gym. This gives students access to fitness facilities during off-peak hours throughout the academic year.
£50 Welcome Fund
Students are given £50 to spend as they see fit. This amount can be used for various necessities or treats, such as:
- Up to 15 coffees at the MDX Costa café OR
- 14 meal deals from the on-campus Coop OR
- 9 daily TFL bus passes for commuting OR
- 2 off-peak student tickets to Thorpe Park Resort.
Eligibility
The fund is available to UK students (fee-assessed home students) who are applying for undergraduate courses starting in September 2024.
The students must apply through Clearing, accept a Clearing offer within 7 days, and complete their enrolment by 20 September 2024 (date subject to confirmation).
The fund is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and may be withdrawn once course capacities are reached.
How do I apply?
There is no application necessary. Clearing applications will be assessed and where the criteria is met, you will be informed of a provisional allocation. Successful allocation will be based on completing all aspects of the eligibility criteria.
